Why Rocking 711 Ranch

Bulls That Make the Grade

Fewer than 15% of our bull calves stay bulls. Every sale bull is docile, fertility and Trich tested, and sold with a 14-day no-questions guarantee.

Proven, Defect-Free Genetics

Our sires are tested free of the known genetic recessives, and we progeny-test young bulls on harvested carcasses against reference sires like Itoshigenami TF148.

Raised on Pasture

Cattle roam rotationally grazed pasture their whole lives on 3,000+ acres in NW Jackson County, home to deer, songbirds and visiting bald eagles.

Our Story

The Rocking 711 brand is shared by a family of farming and ranching operations. Its main ranch covers more than 3,000 acres of coastal Texas farmland in northwest Jackson County, about 15 miles north of Edna and roughly 90 minutes from southwest Houston.

We breed both Black and Red Wagyu, using top genetics, artificial insemination and embryo transfer to keep improving the herd, now around 1,000 head of fullblood, high-percentage and Wagyu/Angus F1 cattle, including recipient cows that carry fullblood embryos. Breeders buy our bulls, bred females, semen and embryos as seedstock, and our pasture-raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free beef goes to restaurants, meat markets and families.

Our cattle spend their lives on rotationally grazed pasture rather than in feedlot pens, and they usually come running when called. We are always building fence, roads, ponds and water lines, and we aim to leave the land, and its deer, songbirds and visiting bald eagles, better than we found it.
