Why Y2 Wagyu

Rare Foundation Genetics

Akaushi built on Rueshaw, Judo, Hikari, Shigemaru and Tamamaru, and Black Wagyu focused on Kedaka, Takeda and Westholme lines that are hard to find in the U.S.

Champion Bloodlines

Semen from the 2019 Houston Grand Champion JVS Big Al E58 and a full brother to the $500,000 world-record bull JC Rueshaw 75.

Cattle, Genetics & Consultation

Fullblood seedstock, bulls for commercial cattlemen and proven F1 Wagyu x Charolais and Brangus programs, with guidance to match your goals.

Our Story

We have raised livestock for about 40 years on modest ranches in Kemp, Texas and Wayne, Oklahoma, working with fullblood Wagyu, Brangus and Charolais. In recent years we have also crossed Wagyu bulls over Brangus and Charolais cows in our F1 program.

Our Wagyu research began in 2005, and we took our time learning the breed's intricacies with help from established breeders such as Chisholm Cattle Company, Ultimate Kobe Beef and Lucky 7 Cattle Company. Together with friends and like-minded breeders in Australia and the U.S., we set out to find some of the rarest Akaushi and Wagyu genetics available.

Today we focus on niches within the breed, including Kedaka and Takeda genetics and influential U.S. Akaushi lines, offering fullblood breeding stock, bulls for commercial cattlemen, semen, embryos and Wagyu beef. We pride ourselves on placing customers with the cattle, genetics and consultation that meet their goals.
