Public audit of the passports
Every RanchOS passport is a chain of events: each event carries the SHA-256 hash of the previous one, and the animal stores the head hash and the event count. An automatic audit walks every ranch on the platform, recomputes every chain and publishes the result here. An individual passport is also recomputed every time someone opens its public page.

What is checked: that every event has the right hash over its content and the previous event's hash, that numbering is continuous from the first, and that the head and count stored on the animal match the chain. An animal transferred between ranches is checked over its full chain.
What it does not cover: whether what the ranch declared is true. That is the job of the tiers (tag read, registered, DNA verified), which require an association document or a reviewed lab report.
