Fullblood Akaushi (Red Wagyu) donor females and Grade 1 IVF embryos built on genetics close to the original imports. El Dorado, Kansas.
We seek out cows whose genetics trace as closely as possible to the 1994 Akaushi imports and breed them back to the original sires that complement each cow.
Our cornerstone donor, Legendary 2102F, is dual registered AAA/AWA, free of genetic defects and scores AA3 for SCD/tenderness. We share her embryos to grow the data on her progeny.
Our goal is Akaushi beef at or above USDA Prime. Our cattle are home raised with no hormones or antibiotics and keep access to pasture through finishing.

SW-prefix fullbloods raised here in El Dorado.
Fullblood Akaushi was always on our radar, but it became reality almost by surprise. The farm began with a handful of commercial cows that we bred up into percentage Akaushi crosses, keeping heifers each generation and filling our own freezer with fullblood beef.
F1 carcasses always carried the Akaushi flavor, but marbling varied from one to the next, and early F2 data showed each extra cross moved us closer to consistent Prime. In the spring of 2020 we implanted our first two fullblood embryos, bought our first fullblood bred heifer that summer, and on December 28, 2020 made our first embryo transfers using our own cows as donors and recips.
Since then we have gathered cows with genetics as close to the original imports as we could find and bred them back to original sires that complement each one. Built around our cornerstone donor, Legendary 2102F, we believe we have a foundation that can take Akaushi genetics and functionality to the next level.
