Description

An "RRR Cortados" steer, the ranch's 50% Charolais, 25% Red Brangus, 25% Hereford cross from all-registered genetics, named for the Spanish coffee drink the calves resemble. Called Rex, he is out of the F1 Red Super Baldy heifer "Bridle" and by Charolais sire Redford L943. He was born on Easter Eve and had to be pulled at 120 lb; the ranch credits its cowboy Jarod for a safe delivery of cow and calf. He was castrated in May 2026 and weaned early on September 25, 2026.
