Why Pérez Herefords

Champion Genetics

Herd sire PCC Maverick 0183 was the 2022 National Champion Bull. At the 2019 NWSS the herd won Grand Champion Cow-Calf Pair and Champion Pen of Heifers.

The New Mexico Ladies

Every cow, registered or commercial, is managed the same: efficient, moderate, sound, easy fleshing, and expected to raise a quality calf every year.

Guaranteed Bulls

All bulls guaranteed sound, healthy breeders, plus a first-year breeding guarantee. Sight-unseen purchases 100% guaranteed. Free delivery for the first 500 miles on purchases of $6,500 or more.

Our Story

The ranch is located in northeastern New Mexico. Connie's parents, Don and Mary Helen Kuper, put the ranch together and managed a successful and progressive commercial Hereford herd for a number of years. In 1993 Michael and Connie bought the cowherd and started leasing the ranch.

Today we run 380 commercial and 60 registered cows in some of the best sand hill country in the Southwest. Michael and Connie have worked on the registered herd for over 40 years, and the philosophy has never changed: line up as many good cows as you can in one pedigree. Kyle returned to the ranch in 2005 after graduating from Kansas State University; he and Tonya married in 2008.

This is a real working ranch, and our cattle must earn their keep through heat, drought, rough country and limited resources. Pérez Cattle Company is truly a family operation. We back everything we sell, and we are not satisfied until you are. "Take care of your cows, they in return will take care of you."
