In 1946, Grandpa Milburn moved his family from western Kansas to a ranch south of Arriba, Colorado, bringing Angus cattle descended from the original four bulls imported from Scotland to Kansas in 1873. By keeping his good cows and culling the rest, he built his "Super Momma" herd.
In 2012 we bought back the old Milburn South Fork Ranch. After a 2014 tornado took what was left of the original barn, we got serious: rebuilt, began selling Roto Grind grinders, and transitioned from Angus to Wagyu.
Today Bryan and Anna Milburn run a BQA-certified Wagyu program focused on high-quality replacement heifers, with our kids managing the recip herd north of Hays, Kansas. Great cows raise great calves.

"We put a Milburn bull on our Angus heifers and the calves came easy and marbled like crazy. Bryan knows his genetics and tells you straight."
"The Super Momma heifers are the real deal: good milk, good dispositions, and they breed back. Best maternal Wagyu we've bought."
"We bought semen from Sanjiro and Iron Man. Great conception rates, fast shipping, and the calves sell at a premium."
