Fullblood and high-percentage Akaushi bulls that have found new homes.
Steve and Alison Dehan founded JB Ranch in 2018 to raise Akaushi cattle. Today the ranch near Kaufman, Texas runs a herd of more than 60 head of 100% fullblood Akaushi, sold year-round by private treaty as bulls, females, semen, embryos and fat cattle.
The name honors Alison's grandfather, JS Bridwell, a legendary Texas cattleman, oilman and philanthropist who began using the JB Brand in the 1930s and built ranches from Wichita Falls to the Texas Panhandle. The family's Bridwell West Ranch, a closed cow herd for more than half a century, supplies cows for the JB F1 program alongside Red Angus females with RA Brown genetics.
Since 2023 the program has added elite donor females such as Georgina 9174X and the dual-registered Rowe Ms Red Star 03A. Our goal is simple: to provide the best Akaushi genetics possible and leave a lasting legacy on the breed. Visitors are always welcome at the ranch.

JS Bridwell starts his ranching operations and the JB Brand, later well known in the Hereford breed.
