Proven and Next-Generation Sires

Masterpiece, Capital Gain, Ace of Spades and Express sit beside young sires like True Balance and Force Field. Semen starts at $25 a unit for commercial use.

Our Story

The Cavender family's cattle roots go back to ranches near Albany, Texas and Idabel, Oklahoma. Since 1990 we have raised Brangus in East Texas, starting from a herd bought at a dispersal sale and running commercial cattle for 14 years before moving into seedstock, with our first purebred bull and commercial female sale in 2005.

We are both a seedstock producer and a user of our own genetics. Twenty-five years ago we began feeding all of our cattle through a feedyard that sold on a grid, so we saw our carcass results from day one. That data has guided steady improvement in carcass traits while keeping the eye appeal and adaptability our customers need across many environments.

Today Joe and Nancy Cavender and the team at Neches River Ranch near Jacksonville offer Brangus and Ultrablack bulls and females through five sales a year. As Joe puts it, the goal is not to sell a few high-dollar cattle but to have a lot of successful customers improving their cow herds and their bottom lines.
