Young bulls, show heifers and embryos from our donor program.
Our family has raised cattle on the Texas Gulf Coast for more than 130 years. Bruce Buffaloe's great-grandfather James Robinson registered the JR brand in Victoria County in 1895, and in the mid-1920s Ed and Frank Buffaloe began raising registered Brahman cattle at Palacios. Buffaloe-bred Brahman females went on to produce multiple Grand Champion bulls at the Houston show.
Gene and Wilma Buffaloe bought the Robinson ranch in 1964, bought their first registered Brangus in 1970, and in 1986 Gene decided it was too hot for black cattle and brought in the first Red Brangus bull. After Gene passed in 1991, Wilma and Bruce built a registered 3/8 x 5/8 Red Brangus herd from Franklin Flato, High Star and Sureways genetics and joined the International Red Brangus Breeders Association in 1995.
Today Bruce, with his daughters Tracee Buffaloe Price and Lissa Buffaloe, runs 50 to 60 producing Red Brangus females near Victoria. We sell bulls, heifers, semen and embryos from the leading genetics in the breed, and we raise show heifers for junior exhibitors.

James Robinson registers the JR brand in Victoria County; the original iron still sits by the family fireplace.
Ed and Frank Buffaloe begin raising registered Brahman cattle and import Brahman into the United States.
Gene Buffaloe buys the ranch's first registered Brangus cattle from a ranch at Goliad, Texas.
Gene buys Franklin Flato's best young herd sire, 013/6, and brings the first Red Brangus bulls to the herd.
Wilma and Bruce join the International Red Brangus Breeders Association; Bruce is elected to its board in 1999.
BCC Mr Gene Buffaloe 306R is Grand Champion at San Antonio and the Brangus Futurity, the ranch's first home-raised major-show grand champion bull.
Buffaloes 212N, a Mammoth 008F2 son, is committed to the 2026 IRBBA Bull Sale.
